Oracle VM server not able to boot from External USB Drive

I have Toshiba laptop with standard Oracle Windos XP OBI runing on it. I have 500 GB external drive. I would like to have a Oracle E-Business suite R12 demo instance on it. For that I would like to use Oracle VM Server and VM templates for R12.

I have installed Oracle VM server based on doc E10899-03. I have only used External drive during this installation so my Windows XP remain as it is. All partitions including boot partition and boot loader are created on external drive. Installtion completes without any error message but after competing installation I am not able to boot this Oracle VM server. I have set booting sequence as CD Rom, USB, HDD but still I am not able to boot newly installed Oracle VM server on external USB disk but system always boot with Windows XP.

Can someone suggest what went wrong here? Does Oracle VM server boot from external USB drive, the way I am trying to achive?
