Oracle VM 3.3, OEM12C template - hostname: unknown host (first boot error loop)

I have installed a new Oracle VM Server for a demo, with Oracle VM 3.3.2. I have downloaded the Oracle VM Temaple for Oracle Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.4.

When I try to boot for the first time, I get asked for the network info (static or dhcp). When I give the input (I have tried both) I get the error (see screenshot):

Bringing up interface eth0 [ok]

hostname: Unknown host

sed: -e expression #1, char 0: no previous regular expression

[Error]:The hostname is INVALID, please re-configure network setting. A static IP address is strongly recommended.

The following is the version info:

[root@demo-ovs-01 /]# cat /etc/redhat-release
