Oracle VDI Re-Install problems

854793Jul 28 2011 — edited Aug 3 2011
I've been building a two node VDI 3.3 cluster on X4200 servers running Solaris 10 u8. I did an initial installation which was fine. I had to change the IP addresses on the servers so unconfigured VDI, changed the IP addresses and re-configured. All seemed okay except the alarm shows "High availability not enabled".

vda-db-status
Ip/Hostname Database host Role Status
----------------------------------------------------------------------
node2 Master up
node1 Slave down

vda-center status

vda-center status
HOST NAME HOST STATUS SERVICE SERVICE STATUS
node2 Up VDI Database Up
node2 Up VDI Database Replication Down

2 host(s) in center.

Nothing I try makes any difference. Even unconfiguring and uninstalling the software completely before re-installing and re-configuring makes no difference - the replication never starts.

All tips short of re-installing Solaris gratefully received.
