Hi All,

I am very new to Tuxedo and I need some guideline from you in licensing tuxedo 11g for a development system.

Our client is having an application whcih is currently running on Tuxedo 8.1 + Oracle 10g and it is as ATMI application. Currently we are having named developer licenses from BEA. They are planning to upgrade the system to Tuxedo 11g + Oracle 11g, keeping the old setup for a while. I am responsible for setting up a new developement environemnt using new versions. As BEA is aquired by Oracle I am not finding sufficient information to see how to so same kind of licensing with oracle.

Below are my question, which may look silly but I very new to this setup and really need your help.

1. Do I have to purchase licenses for developers purpose as I could see there are some options under OTN that we can use the product for development free of cost and for running in production only we have to pay.

2. Is there any way to determine how many of my developer liceses are really being used in the server. I just want to confirm that current develoer licese are getting used by full extend.

3. If I need to purchase licenses, is it possible to have named developer liceses ? Is there any dependency for number of liceses on the server and onlice services or batch jobs.
