how do we fix the following?
ORA-12154 TNS could not resolve the connect identifier” error
the issue is not about network connectivity but about TNSNAMES.ORA file not updated:
if we add manually the missing database entries in our local disk (H:) everything works.
But the following day the TNSNAMES.ORA is replaced by the old one.
We spoke with DBA team (Roberto and Simone copied) and they explained the process in place on the current Citrix Italy in order to update TNSNAMES:.ORA
- they, as DBA team, are the owner of TNSNAMES.ORA content
- when they change the file they write the new version on the shared disk \\works-share\TNS
- then a Citrix procedure copy the file from the shared to disk to all Citrix servers
So, can you kindly deploy asap, on all the new Citrix servers (PDC and SDC), the file in disk \\workshare\TNS ?
