Oracle TNS Listener Remote Poisoning Fix?

Chris HauserSep 5 2016 — edited Sep 5 2016

Hi there

I'm using the latest (64bit) Oracle XE on Windows. According to our IT security team this version is vulnerable to TNS Listener Poison Attacks (see also Oracle Security Alert for CVE-2012-1675).

As far as I can see, there is no patch available to Oracle XE 11.2 for this security issue. Could someone please explain me how to secure my Oracle XE Installation against Oracle TNS Listener Remote Poisoning? I use Oracle XE on Win7 (64bit) and need no remote connection, I just need local connection (from a local WLS and TOAD).

Thanks in advance for any hint on how to best solve this issue.

Regards,

Chris
