Oracle Text - Knowlegde base - Use of ABOUT

I cannot get the ABOUT query to work. How can I verify my Knowledge Base is installed and working. My thesaurus is loaded and working. I compiled it using ctxbtc with no problem. Any advice, help would be greatly appreciated.
