Oracle support of Oracle Database 11g on VMWare

My company is considering an installation of Oracle database on VMWare. I read some comments that Oracle does not alwayes support issues in the environment like this. Does anybody know whether Oracle supports Oracle database installed in VMWare or not in case we have some issues?
