Oracle Standard Edition on database server with 1 CPU and 8 cores

Hi,

This is a general question regarding Oracle database licenses.

Is it allowed to install Oracle database Standard Edition software on a server which has only 1 CPU with 8 cores?

If not, what are possible alternatives?
