Oracle Standard Edition - multiple instances - non-CDB deprecated

2633645Oct 28 2015 — edited Oct 30 2015

Hi Oracle Community,

Recently I read some informations about new licensing policy regarding Oracle Standard Edition 2 and depreciation of non-CBD architecture. I know that deprecated don't mean desupported but I've read that in future releases (12cR2?) CDB/PDB will be only available option. For Standart Edition 2 that probably means that only available option will be single tenant configuration. I've doubts about environments that currently use Standard Edition License and have multiple database instance on single server will manage that multiple instances after upgrade to CDB (single tenant) architecture?

Maybe some of You read some articles/blogs etc in that area, and you can post some urls for that topic or maybe You have your own thoughts in that topic?

Regards

J
