Oracle Sql Developer - Tools - Monitor Sessions -> Clear Inactive sessions

metalrayJun 23 2009 — edited Jun 26 2009
When I use Oracle SQL Developer and click on Tools - > Monitor Sessions I get a list with about 100 inactive sessions and
the connection behavior of other client tools gets a bit funny. I wonder if this is because I ran out of
free connections. How can I clear the inactive ones ? - preferably not manually every hour or so.

I think the db run out of available "handlers" since this used to
work just 5 minutes ago:

ORA-12520: TNS:listener could not find available handler for requested type of server

Thanks,
