Oracle Security: How to best audit sysdba?

795855Jun 20 2011 — edited Jun 21 2011
Hi,

I need advice on how to best audit the sysdba in the oracle database.

So far I am considering setting audit_sys_operations=TRUE and writing the .aud files to a directory that is root owned (so files are tamper proof).

are there any more effective methods to use? or any Oracle db products that can help here? The method I have suggested seems a little dated, I wondered if there are any slicker ways to audit one who has SYS priv?

Thanks,
firefly
