Oracle Scheduler error: Trying to execute as root user or root group.

Dude!Jan 14 2011 — edited Jan 14 2011
Hello,

Database: 11.2.0.1
OS: Oracle Linux 5.5
EM dbconsole 11.2.0.1

I'm trying to create a simple scheduler job of type Executable. The executable name I have specified is /home/oracle/rman_level0.sh and it works fine when run the script as user oracle from command line.

I'm logged in to dbconsole as sys / as sysdba. When I run the above job in EM I receive the following error:

ORA-27369: job of type EXECUTABLE failed with exit code: 274670 STANDARD_ERROR="Oracle Scheduler error: Trying to execute as root user or root group."

The scheduler jobs edit page has an entry for Crendential Name, and perhaps I need to specify the Oracle user, but it is blank, although command type is Executable. I have set the preferred credentials in the EM preferences setup for Database Instance and Host. Is there anything else I need to do to create scheduler credential objects?

Thanks.
