Oracle Reports and Crystal Reports (formerly Business Object)

Hi all,

I'm trying to understand a question. Here in my company some people has started using Oracle Business Intelligence EE and they're using BI Publisher to try to substite actual Crystal Report. Obviuosly they're encountering some issues and seems that BI Publisher has many limitations...for example is not possibile to schedule a report after an event (intended a presence of a file in a directory) or permissions are not really affordable as granularity is users groups vs report folder group..

My question is ... as BI Publisher is not core component of OBIEE but an addon ...is oracle reports the right tool to substitute crystal reports? Are there whitepapers or comparisons between both?
