We are in the process of upgrading our database appliance as well as our database to 19.29. With this upgrade we are now adopting the AL32UTF8 character set. We have testing multiple export / import migrations and the data is being converted properly and Forms can view the new unicode values using the correct NLS_LANG. However we are having issue with reports but only with PDF it seems. If we generate a report to HTML WLS_REPORTS in process server correctly renders the data correctly. If we generate the PDF directly from RWBUILDER the PDF created also generates it correctly. However if we generate with our standard reporting workflow which uses RUN_REPORT_OBJECT and the WLS_REPORTS using in process server it does not. When we open the PDF and look at the Fonts in the document properties, from the ones that work we see “Arial (Embedded)”. for the other we only see “Arial” and the extended chars are not correct, any ideas why?
