Oracle RAC Private Inter-connectivity Problem

Hi,

We are going to configure Oracle RAC on RHEL 6.5.

Our reference document is "Deploying Oracle RAC 11g R2 Database on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6" verion 1.0 from Red Hat Reference Architecture Series.

As per the document,

Two subnets were used for the inter-connectivity.

Two physical switches were used.

My Question: I see there is a connectivity between two switches. What is the purpose of that link?

Please let me know example configuration of Private Switch A and Private Switch B.
