Oracle RAC on Blade or RACK server?

Hi Guys,

I have a question, and I am not able to get clear answers on web, thought of asking gurus here .

We are in process of refreshing our 5-year-old RACK servers(DL570) hardware, almost all of them are running Oracle RAC 11gR2. Our DC and compute guys are suggesting to go with blade servers(BL660) instead of RACK servers, due to space and easy management. Frankly speaking, i alwasy thought those blade servers were not meant for database server, but more meant for application or virtualization. we are running all our business crtical applications (SAP,Siebel, Tibco,DataWarehouse) on current servers(RACK), and most of them are near capacity interms of CPU, that we are planning address by adding more capacity

Questions:

are Blade servers good for database servers in general?

What is your take on blade servers for oracle RAC configuration?

and anyone already using blade servers for their production systems ? how are they performing?
