Oracle Processes init.ora parameter

user10274012Nov 13 2008 — edited Nov 13 2008
Dear All,

I am getting the following error "ORA-12518: TNS:listener could not hand off client connection" which is generally related to the Processes init.ora parameter being small.
My question is that this parameter is set to 150, and if I checked my open sessions it won't be more than 30 sessions, so please can anyone tell me how this limit has been reached? Is there any implicit calculation that Oracle does for the number of processes?

Regards
