oracle parallel server redhat 6.2/oracle 8.1.7 on 1 piii server/ 3 ppro clients

hi,
what a bloody maze! i have two immediate problems:

1) node db instances are unable to access control file raw
devices on server;

2) opsctl (opsd) command returns: error in loading shared
libraries: libskgxp8.so has invalid ELF header.

please advise. thanks.
