Oracle - ORDS - Apache Tomcat Configuration

AquaNX4Mar 6 2018 — edited Mar 7 2018

Good Day To All:

I have a very general question here.  I've always used Oracle with the EPG setup, and just recently moved to the "servlet container" (ORDS served by Apache Tomcat) configuration.  I've modified some elements like:

  • jdbc.MaxLimit
  • jdbc.InitialLimit

My production environment, as of now, is not too busy, and there will probably be never more then 30 concurrent users (on this particular instance) in the foreseeable future.  It works very well now as it is.

Here is my question:  Is this "out-of-box" installation pretty much all I need to do to get the most benefits out of ORDS - Tomcat deployment?

I've researched online exhaustively and found a few pointers here and there, but this forum has a way of framing guidance a little more suited to my comprehension level.

Thanks for any pointers you may have.

This is my environment:

  • 11GR2 XE
  • APEX 5.1.0
  • ORDS 3.*
  • Apache Tomcat 8.5

Regards,

Aqua
