The User logs on to their desktop/laptop and logs through their Oracle software from the Server to the Mainframe connect to Oracle using Z-Direct and uses an IMS Message Region to interact with a database. There are times when they are not able to get to a certain screen and it might take a few times to finally get to the screen they are using. When it doesn't make a connection they get an internal network communications error ORA-12157 and then an AMI-190 iDENTIFY FOR ssn ami1 failed, subsystem not available. The next message is an AMI-198 Oracle error - ERROR - oci_error FOLLOWED BY THE USER EXPERIENCING THE ERRORS USERID the program the user is tryng to access and then an ORA-12571 TNS: packet writer failure. I spoke to the Application Developer and she said they will look at their cobol programs for the error if possible. The DUMP is a User abend completion code = 3044 reason code= 02830020 AND NO ACTIVE MODUKE FOUND.
