Oracle ODBC driver v 9.2.0.0 problems

Hello All.
I have a problem to get columns types ( it returns 0 instead of correct value )
with that specific version of driver accessing Oracle database of the same version (9.2.0.0.).
It works fine if I use ODBC driver v10.
Is it known problem or I am missing something?
