Oracle ODBC driver does not appear in MS's ODBC Data Source Administrator

On Windows 7, using Oracle 10g Express Edition (XE) as my database, I have installed both ODAC (Oracle Data Access Components) 4.2 (11g) and Instant Client 10_2, but the Oracle ODBC driver does not apear in Microsoft's ODBC Data Source Administrator, so I cannot configure an ODBC Data Source connection to the XE database.

I have tried running with the default install, but also manually reseting ORACLE_HOME and PATH to point to any of the 3 clients (XE, ODAC, and Instant)... but no luck.

I have also tried copying 4 dll's from the 10g client to the instant client as recommended by one of the forum articles on here, but still no driver.

Any suggestions?
