Oracle ODBC and Crystal Reports

Hello to all,
I have the following situation. I have a number of Crystal Reports that are called via a VB program. The DB that is used is Oracle 8i (8.1.7.4.0). When I run the reports via Crystal they work OK, but when I am calling them through the program I get an "unable to logon" error. I am using the LogonServer method as follow:
frmMyForm.Rep.LogOnServer "p2sora7.dll", "TESTDB", "", "SCOTT", "TIGER"
I am using the ODBC 8.1.7.4 and I have installed batch 2376472 on my client.

Any Ideas?
