Hi all,
Oracle EBS R12.1.1
OEL 5.4
We have new implementation of EBS R12.1.1 in a client which have a tight "network" security.
My problem is that in a certain department with network segment 192.168.1.xxx the EBS connection is fast, while in
the department with a network segment of 192.168.2.xxx the EBS connection is very slow, the web pages took very long
to open. I can not really conclude to the client that it is their network problem. They want me to prove that it is.
How do I make basic test for network connectivity? Is "pinging" the EBS Server from the client PC enough? We can
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>ping 192.168.1.107
Pinging 192.168.1.107 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.1.107: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128
Reply from 192.168.1.107: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128
Reply from 192.168.1.107: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128
Reply from 192.168.1.107: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=128
Ping statistics for 192.168.1.107:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 0ms, Average = 0ms
Can the statistics above give clue to a network connection problem?
Thanks a lot,
Ms Inday
