Oracle Linux support Cycle

2779711Apr 10 2015 — edited Apr 10 2015

How does the Oracle linux support cycle looks like?

I can only find "support levels". But what about "end of support" for Oracle Linux versions.

I guess for major versions it is 10 years? But what about minor versions?

Does minor versions, such as 6.0, 6.1, 6.x go "end of life" (like they does on RHEL), if so when?

Example: RHEL 6.5 will go "end of life" by end of this year, i.e. customers have to upgrade to a "newer" minor version in order to recieve support: but when does Oracle Linux 6.5 go "end of life"?

It would be helpful to know how support works on minor versions of Oracle Linux.

Since we are supporting both RHEL and Oracle Linux, and potential things could differ even on minor version of an OS.

It is a matter of which "minor versions" we should test our product on.

Also it feels unneccessary to support a product on a plattform that are already "end of life".
