Hello, we are trying out Oracle Linux 8 on Vmware 6.5 and are having some strange issues.
1) Gnome display resolution will not hold after a reboot. We set it to 1280x768 and after a reboot it reverts back to 800x600. Any ideas ?
2) Opening multiple text files in different workspaces - if I have gedit open in ws-1 then open one in ws-2 the text file will open in a tab in gedit on ws-1. Tried a few things to get gedit to open in a separate window each time, but it's not working.
3) Is there a tool for modifying the boot menu kernel options ? Not sure where to make changes in the grub2 configuration files. looking to add vga=791 to increase the post screen window.
