I'm learner struggling to setup network configuration on Oracle Linux 7, would appreciate if you can help me to reply on these queries to fix them.
Oracle VM Virtual box version - 4.3
Host - Microsoft Windows 8
Guest - Oracle Linux 7
Database - Oracle 11g release 2
(1) Assign IP Address to Oracle Linux 7 hostname
I did mess up during installation of Oracle Linux 7 would need to allocate ipaddress to my host name. I have updated ip address at /etc/hosts file but when i ping its not working. Tried to update the file ifcfg-enp0s3 under dir - /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ both manually & with nmtui tool i am able to see the configuration but unable to do any changes. Could you please share steps.
(2) Need to assign multiple IP Address -- For lab purpose if i need to configure multiple IP address i.e private / public, what are the steps i need to follow
(3) nslookup command is not working & how to configure DNS server for testing purpose
