Oracle Linux 7.6 hangs at initial startup screen

  • Running Windows 10 with 64GB of RAM and 8 cores. NVidia video card.
  • Download Virtualbox, install, and run.
  • Download Oracle Linux 7.6
  • In Virtualbox, set the storage option to boot from the ISO image. Select the Oracle Linux 7.6 boot image (tried UEK kernal and big update ISO images too... same result)
  • Start the VM. See the following:

  • If I press any key, it moves or responds once, and then locks.
  • If I allow the automatic boot to countdown, it hangs and I see the following screen:

  • While I like gray as much as the next person, I think this is not the intended outcome.
  • My only option is to kill the VM.
  • I've tried with Oracle Linux 7.5 too, and the same result.

Help is appreciated.
