Oracle Linux 6 x86_64 - no PHP updates (with yum)?

dave carvalhoMay 12 2015 — edited May 13 2015

Hello. I've been using Oracle 6 x86_64 for year now and I was hoping to get a PHP version > 5.3.3 update (currently installed).

The reason for this is that I need a version greater than 5.3.10 in order to update from Joomla 2.5 to 3.0 on that web server. I've found this link https://blogs.oracle.com/opal/entry/php_5_4_0_rpms

and I was wondering if someone already tried to update the PHP packages this way. Does it cause conflit?

Thanks and regards

Dave
