I would like to know how to cap CPU on a Virtual Machine (Red Hat 7) hosting a database Oracle 12g .
As far as I know, even if the CPU assigned to a VM are a subset of the Total number of CPU of the machine hosting the VM, the number of Oracle licenses used, refers to the total number of CPU available.
My question is in order to understand if it is possible to limit the number of Oracle licenses to the real number of CPU assigned to the VM, i.e a subset of the Total amount of cpu available
