Oracle Database Discussions

Hi all,

Oracle does not allow to change me of type license from enterprise edition to few standart edition (I desire buy ten aditional license but no Enterprise) and in addition it says that I must regularize licenses because I have two processors in each server -I have two server pentium 3 of 7000 MHZ. I ask myself because Oracle changes its policy of licensing at will or as better it seems to him. Because Oracle does not allow me to buy economic licenses but? that it happens if I migrate of "Pentium 3 700MHZ" with double processor to Pentium 4 2.8MHZ of One single one? licenses would exceed to me (25 licenses by each processor in total 100 licenses!!!!), yet this that has happened my head has planned a migration to "Microsoft SQL server" and as for me as DBA of Oracle I have lost what it had learned now I will have to specialize the Microsoft SQL Server, it does not seem to me that Oracle this of the hand with the user Oracle never loses. I complain in addition to the discourteous treatment of the authors Oracle LMS, who have harassed us so much who already obtained what they wanted have a one important client less.

Is a bad idea but, no exist other way migrate from Linux 3 / Oracle Enterprise Edition 9i.e to Microsoft Windows 2003/Sql server 2003, Oracle please choise.
