Oracle Installation on 64-bit Microsoft Vista - Need help.

Hi,

I have bought new laptop with 64 bit and Vista. I want to install Oracle 10g on my laptop for practising Pl/SQL.

I have installed 10g. It has been installed successfully. But when I am trying to connect to it, sql plus window is getting closed. I have also tried by installing TOAD. It is gicing me error.

Can anyone suggest me about the version I have to install, steps to follow inorder to make oracle work in my laptop.
