Oracle - Incomplete Recovery

794134Aug 26 2010 — edited Aug 27 2010
Dears,

Database running in - Archive mode

I have a table which containts 2 million records by time (07:00), and inserted 1 milllion rows at (7:02) and commited my trasaction.
Now i have taken a hot backup of the entire database by time (07:02),
and by 07:05 i have deleted 1 million records and commited my transaction.

Now i need my all the 3 million rows back, so thought of performing an
time based incomplete recovery.

below are the steps i performed..

1) I have shutdown the database.
2) Copied all the hot backup of all the datafiles and restored in its original location.
3) The started the instance and mounted.
3) issued the recovery command
> recover database until time '2010-08-27 07:02:00'

Now am getting the below error.

ORA-01547: warning: RECOVER succeeded but OPEN RESETLOGS would get error below
ORA-01195: online backup of file 1 needs more recovery to be consistent
ORA-01110: data file 1: 'D:\ORACLE\PRODUCT\10.2.0\ORADATA\FIRSTDB\SYSTEM01.DBF'

what's the step missing here / what am doing wrong here???
