We are using Oracle Goldengate 21.5 classic in one of our development stack, over the last weekend we had a OS patch and had to restart the nodes. Node restart happened the same day but the extract process was restarted couple of days later. On starting the extract process we started to see OGG-02028 which is due archived logs being purged.
OGG-02028 Failed to attach to logming server OGG$EXT error 1,292 - ORA-01292: LogMiner for upstream capture cannot find log file.
We re-registered the extract ext01 using the following script
dblogin useridalias c##ggadmin
unregister rextract ext01 database
delete extract ext01
add extract ext01, integrated tranlog, being now
register extract ext01 database container (ORCLPDB)
add exttrail ./dirdat/e1, EXTRACT EXT01
start extract ext01
After start up - the extract process doesn't progress and seems to in a waiting state, important logs for the extract process are as below,
> info extract ext01, detail

WARN OGG-02905 Replication of OID column in object tables may diverge.
WARN OGG-02920 Parameeter TRANLOGOPTIONS SOURCE_OS_TIMEZONE must be specified, but it is not,. Source database OS time zone offset : -04:00, Extract Ost time zone : Etc/GMT
Warn seems to suggest that the DB Timezone is different from OS timezone, could this be a cause for checkpoint not progressing ?
