After investigating and testing several alternatives, we managed to successfully install and get up and running Oracle Forms 14c – Intended for Development (Full installation and limited domain).
However, we still have a doubt regarding some wording in the documentation.
From what we understand:

The Full installation (which includes the Reports IDE) is described as:
“Installs full runtime and all design-time tools.”

The Standalone Forms Builder (already available in 12c) is described as:
“Installs all Forms design-time tools.”
This is consistent, as it does not include the Reports IDE.

The Full installation and limited domain option is described as:
“Installs lightweight runtime and all design-time tools.”
However, the title includes a note stating:
“Oracle Reports – Does not support the new config option.”
Our requirement is only the Reports IDE (design-time tools), not the Reports runtime or execution services.
Does anyone know if it is possible to have the Reports Builder (IDE only) working when using the
“Oracle Forms 14c – Intended for Development (Full installation and limited domain)” template?
Any insight or shared experience would be very welcome.
