Oracle forms 10g R1 (9.0.4) to 10g R2 (10.1.2.0.2)

We were using Dev suite 10G R1 (9.0.4) for a long time and now we have moved to 10G R2 in app server.
I'm a developer and trying to get my forms 10g R2 working on my windows xp machine.
1. I'm able to open the forms which were opened last time using 10G R1 using 10G R2 now. So my understanding is that I don't need to recompile all the forms/plls in my working directory.
2. When I run a form from the forms builder, it runs like a web page. I can see the menu at the runtime like Action query etc. but unable to acccess any menu. i.e if i click the Action menu item, it doesn't show the options under Action.
3. The Jinitiator JInitiator 1.3.1.22 was automatically installed by the installer. Can I leave it at 22 or Do I need to get a later version like 28 ??
(My Internet explorer version is 6.0).
Any help will be highly appreciated.
