2.I've been at this for about a week now to figure out how to install this properly.
Is there an installation and configuration guide for the x64 platform? The Oracle documentation (for iPads it seems) is too generic and simplistic for me. I'm wondering if next we'll see someone try to produce nuclear power plant installation and construction procedures for iPad or NASA's launch check procedures for iPad... seems a bit silly to me. Ditch the tablets people if you're doing a complex task.
I keep discovering that pieces are missing
Installed WLS 10.3.6, installed the infrastructure tier, ran the repository utility, continued, ended up with
no windows services to ensure things restart when the server reboots
no OHS server (which probably means Forms woudln't be able to call a Report, since WLS_FORMS only knows about Forms; correct me if I'm wrong, I used to use OHS to bridge that gap)
no WLS_REPORTS server; though I read that Reports is now "deprecated". There was much fanfare about Forms being supported until 2023 but they omitted mentioning that Reports won't be.
I can start the AdminServer and WLS_FORMS managed server using the usual scripts and start nodemanager manually.
However the old FM11g method to create a service for the nodemanager creates a nodemanager that the WL Admin Console and EM can't talk to
Installation should be more straightforward than this IMHO.
