Oracle DLL Issue

770050Apr 29 2010 — edited Apr 30 2010
Hi all,

I've been using tora with an oracle 10g client for a while now but tora has been buggy. I then decided to unistall and reinstall the latest version of tora. After which I received the following error when trying to connect to the DB:
Unable to connect to the Database
Specified driver could not be loaded due to system error 127: the specified procedure could not be found. (Oracle in OraClient10g_home2, C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_2\BIN\sqora32.dll).

I reinstalled oracle 10g at first to see if that would work, which forced me to rebuild my ODBC connection. I have an orphaned ODBC connection from the first installation that I am now unable to delete because of the unistall. If I am in the ODBC connections and use the test button it will connect. Launching tora would produce the same error though.

I validated that the information in the registry is correct. Specifically keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\Oracle in OraClient10g_home2\Driver
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\Oracle in OraClient10g_home2\Setup
which both go to the path of the DLL sqora32.dll which is in this case:
C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_2\BIN\sqora32.dll

At this point I do not know what to troubleshoot next. if possible i wouldnt mind completely removing the oracle install if i knew how but it looks like it may not just be as simple as removing the install from add/remove programs.

System:
Windows 7
Oracle10g client
TOra 2.1.2

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
