Oracle Discoverer Administration: Backing Up and Deleting EUL
616380Feb 13 2008 — edited Feb 15 2008We have a problem with the default EUL. For some reason, the administrator's EUL (which contains two workbooks) is the default one selected.
The other public EUL (which contains maybe 40+ workbooks) is not the default.
The problem with end users running Oracle Discoverer Desktop is that they pick up the EUL assigned to the administrator, and I do not know how to "assign" the EUL to the user for them.
Needless to say, this causes problems to the end users, when they log in, and the EUL is not the one they need, and none of their *.DIS files work when they attempt to open them, and then launch the application.
So, I was thinking that I would "export" the administrator's EUL, and then use the Tools > EUL Manager to delete the EUL.
Is this the recommended method? Or is there a way for the administrator to assign a default EUL to users?
I know how to tell the users to select the default EUL within their user interface, and then select File > Connect, but, for some reason, this setting does not stick, and it keeps switching back to the administrator's EUL.
Thanks for your help!
