Oracle directory space was full. How to manage the oracle directory's capacity?

3578015Oct 31 2017 — edited Nov 3 2017

Hi

I am installing and using Oracle 11g on AIX server.

I make two folder 'oracle' and 'oradata'

'Oracle' folder use $ORA_HOME and 'Oradata' folder store the tablespaces (sysaux.dbf, user01.dbf etc...)

One day, the capacity of the 'Oralce' folderĀ  increased, resulting in 100%usage.

So, my DB was stop.

The capacity of the Oracle folder can not be increased because there is no free space on the disk.

Until now, it has been erasing the files on 'diag/rdbms/SID/SID/alert/' and 'diag/rdbms/SID/SID/trace'.

Are there any additional ways to manage capacity?

Or is there a way to leave a log?
