Oracle DB Upgrade to 19c

Hi All,

We are upgrading our Oracle DB's to 19c. EPM Version is on 11.1.2.4 An in-place upgrade of the databases is not an option so there are two possible approaches we can take.

1) Out-place upgrade of the DB to 19c and then copy the EPM schemas to new database and then change the hostname of the DB to the Hostname used in the EPM Configurator.

2) Out-place upgrade of the DB to 19c with a different hostname but then run the EPM configurator and follow the steps as described in https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E57185_01/EPMDO/ch04s03.html

My question is, if we take approach 1, is there any reason we need to run the EPM Configurator?
