On Oracle 11.2.0.4.0; PSU 11.2.0.4.20 applied.
I received an email from Oracle Support about January 2016 patching. I understand there are multiple versions of patching - CPU, PSU, SPU, etc.
1) The vendor for the application that connects to Oracle DB recommends following PSU. How do I know which one is CPU or PSU?
2) I do have access to Oracle Support. Any guidance on how to make the determination on Oracle Support? Is Doc ID 161549.1 the correct documentation to follow?
On the Doc ID 161549.1, it shows 11.2.0.4.21 and the patch number is 22064588. However, if I click on the patch, there are replacements - 22272976 or 11.2.0.4.22 and / or 22310544 or 11.2.0.4.160119?
Edit: I found Critical Patch Updates and Security Alerts which link to Oracle Critical Patch Update - January 2016 which link to Doc ID 2074802.1 which links to Doc ID 854428.1 (for Patch Set Updates); which links to Doc ID 756671.1 (for Database). In Doc ID 756671.1, it shows 11.2.0.4 Current Recommended Patches as 22378146.8 and others not listed above.
Not sure what I'm missing.
