Oracle DB on which platform best runs?

Hi All,

I need comments and suggestion form all experts/gurus/professional who have experience of handling large scale Oracle databases for mission critical applications. So, your comments/suggestion is highly appreciated.

Here is my Question statement:

Although Oracle Corp has tried it best to make Oracle database fit to run on all suported OS on all Platform. But from manageability, performance, cost point of view there is always trade offs.

Now my question is on which OS platform the Oracle best runs.

Windows, HP-UX, IBM-AIX, Sun Solaris, Linux, OEL.

for HP-UX and AIX which one will be best.

Please comments on this w.r.t all angles especially for the manageability for DBAs. Your comments and suggestions will highly be appreciated.
