We are moving our machine containing Oracle DB from Solaris 10 physical machine to a Sparc Virtual machine (LDOM). We will be using iSCSI for the OS and related filesystems. However, some say it would be better to mount the Oracle related database files as NFS just like the current one. My feeling is to create the filesystem big enough so that we can have all the files including OS and Oracle DB files on iSCSI. This will give me the opportunity to migrate the machine easily to another machine in the same pool. What is the opinion of the people. BTW, we don't have FC.
