Oracle database replication

642680Jan 26 2009 — edited Jan 27 2009
Hi ,

I have a specific requirement.

1. Production database need to be replicated to secondary server.
2. If you delete data from certain tables in the production that data should not be deleted from Secondary server. This is to keep production database small so that performance will not be a big hit and also secondary server becomes a reporting server for datawarehouse. Ideally they want to keep one month data on production and 7 years worth of data on secondary server.

What is the best way to achieve this with minimal maintenance.

We have Oracle 10gr2 on Windows server 2003.

Thanks for your help..
