oracle database connectivity issue on linux.

Hello Guys,

I have running oracle database server Installed on Redhat Linux machine and

application server installed on windows 2008 machine. I am trying to establish the connection between this

using oracle client and oracle wire protocol driver (both installed on windows 2008) however I got

below error .

error :[ oracle wire protocol driver]

" Connection refused . Verify hostname or port number. "

[ODBC oracle wire protocol driver] [oracle]

"ORA-12203: unable to connect destination"

does anyone have any idea about this??
