Oracle Database Client 11.2 Prerequisites failed

855414Apr 14 2011 — edited Apr 19 2011
Hello,

I'm attempting to perform an installation of the Oracle Database Client 11g Release 2, and on every attempt that I've tried the installer informs me that I've failed checks on the Physical Memory, Free Space, Architecture and the Environment variable: "PATH" (Which would appear to be all of the checks that it does).

I've downloaded the installation zip from Oracle a number of times now, so I don't believe its a corrupt download issue. I've attempted the install on several different Windows XP Service Pack 3 32bit machines, as well as a Windows 7 64bit machine, and each machine produces the exact same failures. When highlighting the individual failures in the list, it lists the 'Expected Value' and 'Actual Value' both as 'n/a'.

Selecting Ignore All and proceeding as normal is not an option, as I need to create a response file and deploy this application silently. It almost appears as if the prerequisite check is broken.

Am I the only one experiencing this behaviour and does anyone have any suggestions on how I can move ahead with this?

Thanks,

Kurtis
