Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release still 10.1.0.4.0 after patch

MarGurOct 5 2007 — edited Oct 6 2007
Hi gurus again!
Please, excuse me beforehand my stupid question, but i still can't catch what's going on.

I've smoothly installed the Grid Control EM Grid Control 10g Release 2, then upgraded Release 2 to Release 3 (and before upgrading to R3 I also applied patch p4329444_10104_LINUX.zip) Everything was good, I've got no errors during the process, but now, when i'm doing:

Enter user-name: sys/password@emgc as sysdba

Connected to:
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.4.0 - Production
With the Partitioning, OLAP and Data Mining options

sys@emgc> select * from v$version;

BANNER
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.4.0 - Prod
PL/SQL Release 10.1.0.4.0 - Production
CORE 10.1.0.4.0 Production
TNS for Linux: Version 10.1.0.4.0 - Production
NLSRTL Version 10.1.0.4.0 - Production

sys@emgc>

the database is still 10.1.0.4.0 version. What did i miss? Definitely, this is wrong. The docu and README says that after allying all patches, the database will become 10.2.0.3

What did I make wrong, please, advise.
Thank you very much!
