Oracle Data Provider missing from VS 2013

Hi,

I am experiencing an issue when I try to create a new connection  to Oracle. Previously, I installed 32 bit ODTwithODAC from this URL Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) for Windows Downloads. After I installed this version, I was able to see Oracle DataProvider listed in the list of Providers when I try creating a Oracle Connection. Later on, I installed the 64 bit ODAC121012_x64. Today I was thinking to create a new oracle connection and noticed that Oracle DataProvider is not listed under the providers.

I tried removing the 64 bit and restarted my machine, but, the provider is not appearing back in the list. Only the 2 deprecated providers available from .net are being listed.

I did researched on this one and found some articles that says to make some changes to machine.config or change hotkey or add environment variables etc. I am not quite sure on what methodology to approach and hesitating to make any changes to my environment without not knowing the outcome.

Can I be provided some guidance on this please. I already have an application that is making use of Oracle.ManagedAccess dll and that is just working fine. If I uninstall the existing version and reinstall will my existing applications break?

kindly advise me.

Thank you.
